The Four Control Functions

• Leadership: Motivating and inspiring employees to achieve organizational goals. Effective leadership includes communicating, making decisions and building strong relationships.

• Control: Monitoring performance, comparing results against plans, and taking corrective action as necessary. This includes setting standards, measuring performance, and implementing control systems.

Modern Managers

Today's managers face a dynamic and complex business environment. They must combine technical skills, interpersonal skills, and strategic thinking. Effective managers are:

• Visionaries: They can articulate a compelling vision for the organization.

• People-oriented: They build strong relationships and contribute to a positive work environment.

The business environment is changing rapidly. New technologies, globalization, and increased competition bring both challenges and opportunities. Managers need to stay on top of industry trends, embrace digital transformation and adopt a global mindset.
